Thinking Of You - Jumping Butterflies

Hello everyone!! I'm here to share a card that I made recently.

Here's what I made:

I recently won a giveaway from Joanna Munster of Inspired By Stamping. It included the stamp set Fresh Bouquet. It has a beautiful image of a floral bouquet. I decided to ink it up and color it with my copic markers. Then I fussy cut it. The sentiment is also from the same set.

I stamped a few butterflies and lady birds from the Our Daily Bread stamps' Butterfly and  Bugs. I colored them with copics and fussy cut them. I wanted to make them animated i.e. I wanted them to have some kind of movement. So I took a strip of acetate, folded one end and glued the butterfly on to it. The other end just went behind the bouquet. To explain, I took a few pictures showing the process.

Take a strip of acetate. I took mine from an old packaging.

Fold it near one end, to look like a tick mark.

Using a bone folder, crease the fold.

Apply adhesive to the smaller portion of the tick mark and adhere the die-cut/image. I used double sided tape.

The other end of the tick mark, i.e. the longer part goes under the image or it can be just adhered to the card base.

It kind of gives a spring action. I took a quick video to show it in action.

The color scheme of this card was inspired by the Inspired By Stamping color theme for the design team search.

So how do you like the card? Have you tried this method already? Or will you be trying after seeing this? Please do let me know in the comments.

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day.

Snow Globe Reindeer

Hello everyone!! I'm here to share another snow globe card, this one with sequins.

Here's what I made:

I used the SVG File for snow globe from Bird's cards. The reindeer stamp is from Hero Arts' Swirly Christmas. I embossed the image with Clear bark embossing powder from Stampenduous. I added a tiny red rhinestone on the reindeer's nose, so that makes it Rudolph! I inked the background with distress ink mowed lawn. I added some sequins in brown and green color. The sentiment is from the same Hero Arts set.

So how do you like this card? Thanks for stopping by. Please leave your thoughts and comments.

Snow Globe Robin

Hello everyone!! I wanted to share a card that I made recently.

I've always loved snow globes. They've always fascinated me, right from my childhood, though I've never had one till now!! So here's what I've made:

I bought this Bird stamp some time back, but I had not used it. So I decided to give it a try. I colored it with my copics. I inked the background with Distress Ink Broken China. I stamped a few branches from the Inkadinkado Branches stamp set. The sentiment is from Unity Stamps Our Hearts to Yours.

I used the SVG file from Bird's cards. I used the faux snow from Dollar Tree for the shaker part.

So how do you like the card? Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate you leaving your thoughts and comments.

Peace, Prayers & Blessings

Hello everyone! This is a quick post to share a card I made recently.

Here's what I made:

I used the line images from the Altenew Peony Bouquet stamp set and colored it with copics. I fussy cut the large peony flower and the small flower and shaped them a bit with the embossing tools. I then popped them with some foam tape for some dimension.

I hope you can see the effect of the foam tape in this image.

Sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping - Big Sympathy stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you had a great weekend.
