Hello everyone! Hope you are having a great week. I'm here to share another card that I made recently.
I'm using one of the freebies that Joanna had sent in one of the newsletters, few weeks back. It's no secret that I love to color flower images. And this one is no exception. Since I have not seen many irises in real life, I did a google search to get some pics of the flowers.
I printed the Iris card front in the size I wanted, with a oval border around it, so that I cut it with my Xacto knife. I started by coloring the leaves and stem of the flowers. I used Copic markers G99, YG67, YG63, YG61 and YG03, my usual color combination for leaves.
I saw that many irises have yellow color in the lower middle part of the petals. I used Y38 and Y35 for those areas. For the remaining part of the petals and the buds, I used R37, R35, R22 and R32.
Then I cut out the oval border with my X-acto knife. I cut a oval from white cardstock to add a mat to the oval panel with the image and colored the edges with R35. I took a piece of white cardstock and used Stampendous Small Damask stencil to add texture paste on it.
Once dry, I adhered it on to coral colored A2 card base. I adhered the matted oval on to it. That's a pretty simple card.
Joanna has generously offered a 15% off coupon that is valid till Dec 31, 2017. Please note that it cannot be used with conjunction of other coupons. Is not valid for clearance items and sale items. It can be used more than once.
