Hello everyone!! I'm here to share a card that I made with one of my new stamps from Power Poppy called Simply Camellias.
I stamped the bunch of flowers from Simply Camellias with Memento Tuxedo black ink, as I wanted to color them with Copics. I colored the image using YR68, Y38, Y35 and YR31 for orangish-yellows, V17, V15 and V12 for violets and G99, YG67, YG63, YG61 and YG03 for greens. The color scheme was inspired by the beautiful pic shared in the Power Poppy - Hues To Use. I cut the panel into a oval and inked the edges with distress ink Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. The script background is actually a napkin from the Dollar Tree. I adhered the napkin on a piece of cardstock and applied mod podge over it (I wasn't sure if it was necessary, but did it anyway). I wrapped a brown twine around it few times and added the bow after adding the image panel.
For the sentiment I used the one from Kennedy Grace Creations' Grace's Little Note. I didn't know where to add the sentiment!! Have you ever faced this dilemma? I just couldn't find a place in the entire card to place a small piece of sentiment!! After a lot deliberation, I finally settled on the top left. I inked the edges of the card base with Distress Ink vintage photo. Though I didn't like this card very much when I had finished it, now I think it kind of looks ok.
Thank you for stopping by. I've been receiving some very kind and lovely comments on all social media including blog, FB groups and Instagram. Thank you so much. I'm overwhelmed with your love and kindness. So, once again, thank you from the bottom of my card. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
