Falling Leaves

Hello everyone! I'm on the Brutus Monroe blog today with a Fall card.

Have you guys seen these leaf dies from the inspiration box? I love them and I want to use them on all my cards! lol! But seriously, I predict that you will be seeing more of these leaves in the future weeks as well. I started by die cutting a some scraps of brown butter card stock, lunchbag card stock and regular white card stock with the leaf dies. I then inked them with Jack O Lantern, Phonebook, Cabbage and Marsala inks. It's interesting to see the difference in the outcome when you ink up colored card stock. I really love the Jack O Lantern ink on the Lunchbag card stock. Then I took a piece of Jack O Lantern card stock and heat embossed the sentiment "hello Fall" from the Scarecrow stamp set with Coffee Grounds embossing powder (which was one of the past Embossing Powder of the Month) and adhered it on to an A2 card base. I then folded the leaves and added glue only along the center. That way, I can fold the leaves to give them a bit of dimension.
