Hello everyone!! I'm on the Brutus Monroe blog today with a Christmas themed Canvas.
I started by stamping the poinsettia from last year's Holiday Card Kit stamp set on the canvas. Initially, I thought of doing a no-line coloring, but then I ended up embossing the poinsettia with gilded embossing powder. Then I masked the poinsettia with Brutus Monroe masking paper and stamped the Barn Wall background stamp with Macchiato ink. I inked the entire background with Macchiato and Maple ink. Then I colored the poinsettia using Aqua pigments - I used the colors Red, Yellow Orange, Brown and for green, since I didn't have the green color at hand, I mixed yellow and blue green. I used the Brown Aqua pigment to add some stain to the backgroud. The I stamped the sentiment 'Joy' from the Merry & Bright stamp set with embossing ink and embossed it with gilded embossing powder too.
How do you like this vintage style canvas? Please do let me know in the comments below. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
