Moxie Craftie: Love Bugs!

Hello everyone!! Today, for the Brutus Monroe blog hop, we are showcasing our favorite techniques. Here's mine:

I have used ink blending, copic coloring, heat embossing and shakers in this card. I couldn't pick just one lol! I started by taking a piece of white cardstock of size 4" x 5 1/2" and die cut a heart out of it. The I blended Zest and Phonebook inks on to the card stock through the Hearts stencil, which is the stencil of the month for January! I stamped and colored the bees from the Love Bugs stamp set (which is also found in this month's inspiration box) and fussy cut them. I added thin strips of black raven card stock on either side. I took a card base and drew the exact position of the heart window. Then I adhered foam tape around the heart and added some sequins from my stash. I also added the fussy cut bees. Then I removed the release paper and added a piece of acetate to cover the shaker. I then adhered the ink blended panel on top of it. Then I took a piece of raven cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment "Happy Valentine's Day" with yellow embossing powder. I cut it out and adhered it on the heart window!
