Oval Floral Vine

Hello everyone!! I'm on the ScrapbookPal blog today and I'm sharing this quick and simple yet elegant card today.  It's been a cold month here, I'm so ready for Spring now!! So I've made this card with cute and lovely flowers. I love this die set from Spellbinders and it's one of my all-time favorites!

Let's start with the die cutting. I die cut the oval lattice on a light violet card stock.

I die cut the floral vine in white card stock. I will later color this piece with my copics. I die cut few flowers using the flower dies in 2 different shades of purple.

Now I colored the floral vine with my copics. For the leaves I used G99, YG67, YG63 and YG03 to give a bit of shading. For the flowers, I used V15 for the light violet ones and V09 for the dark ones - no shading there as I will be adding layers. I shaped the die cut flowers a little bit and added them on to the floral vine die cut. Here's a close up of the floral vine with the flowers.

I adhered the oval lattice on to an A2 card base with glue. I use liquid glue for adhering die cuts. It works well for such intricate pieces also. I then adhered the completed floral vine. Now what's missing is the sentiment. I have this old JustRite stamp set which I love - I used the Happy Anniversary sentiment from the set and stamped it with Memento Lulu Lavender ink. I cut the sentiment into a banner and adhered it to the card.
