Hello everyone! I'm sharing a beach scene light up card that I made for one of our friends' farewell.
The base of the scenery is the Hero Arts - Beach Frame die. I use copics to color in the various elements in the die cut. Here's the card with the lights on:
I had the 'switch' for the light up circuit on the bottom right corner of the card. So when I press it, the light in the light house turns on. I used EZ Lights for the light up circuit. The light house is a die from Gina Marie Designs - I removed the rest of the die cut. I cut it twice, so that I can sandwich the wires in between them. I colored it with Copics. Here's how it looks.
This is a 3 fold card, so the outer fold has a window with the lighthouse, the second panel had the sea view with a ship.
The sailboat is a die from Simon Says Stamp and I colored it with Copics too. For the background, I used Brutus Monroe inks. On the window side, I made sure to color the back side of the die cut as well I used another panel with a oval window cut out as a backing and to hide the wires and battery. Here's the view of the inside of the window with the lights on:
Here's the card fully open. It had plenty of space for all of us to write messages.
How do you like this card today? Please do let me know in the comments. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!
