Pearls! Pearls!! Pearls!!! Blog Hop

Hello all. I'm back with a piece of pearl jewelry. Welcome to Pearls! Pearls!! Pearls!!! Blog Hop organized by Michelle of MiShel Designs.

When I read about this blog hop, I was very excited and wanted to take part. Without further ado, here is my creation.

I used black colored pearls and silver plated head pins.

I had seen this pattern in pinterest some time back and wanted to try it.

A Thank You Card

I wanted to say "Thank You" to my gynaecologist whom I'm seeing for my pregnancy. My husband suggested I make a card for her and I happily obliged :). I'm planning to give it to her on Monday when I go for my last checkup here in Bangalore. So here is the card that I have made.

.. and here is a side view..

I started off with a white card stock. I had a stencil that I had bought from Itsy Bitsy long back. But I didn't know how to use it. So this time I tried to use it for creating a background on the white card stock with silver glitter. I loved the result. To add more perspective, I decided to add more layers. As the first layer, I punched out border on a pink hand-made paper. For the second layer, I made zig-zag border on a white paper and topped it off with another pink paper decorated with silver glitter to make it look like a frame.
I added a doily I had got from a giveaway by Devika of Kukies Basket and some flowers which I got as a candy from Tracy of I Wanna Build A Memory.

I put a handmade butterfly on top and added some glitter and pearls to it. I added a strip of pink pattern paper, few rhinestones and pearls from my stash. The sentiment is hand-written. I wrote it with black marker and added a dimensional effect with silver glitter.

For the inside of the card, I used the same stencil to create the background. I wrote the "thank you" note and added a few small butterflies made with rhinestones and pearls.

I would love to get your suggestions and comments on this.
