Pink & Brown Christmas Ornaments

Hello everyone!! It's time for a new Rudolph Days Challenge!! As you may remember, I'm one of the GDTs for the months of January, March and May. If you are new to this challenge, you should definitely check it out here! The theme is anything goes as long as it's Christmas!!

Here's what I've made for the current challenge.

I used the LOTV - Christmas Baubles stamp and gold embossed it. I colored it with my markers using non-traditional colors of pink, brown and olive green.

A closer look at the gold embossed ornaments. I always love gold embossing, especially when there are very few flaws/errors! The sentiment is from the Sweet n Sassy Stamps - Christmas Penguins stamp set. I gold embossed the sentiment as well, to go with the mood of the card.

Please do check the challenge rules here. I hope you will be participating in the challenge. You have until March 31st midnight PST.

Thanks for stopping by. Your comments make my day. Have a great day!

Happy Easter

Hello everyone!! It's time for mid of the month inspiration here at Where The HeART Is Challenge. Our current theme is Easter/Anything goes. Here's what I made to inspire you:

I stamped the Azaleas from Power Poppy Stamps and colored them in orange. I cut the card panel, the window and the sentiment on my Cricut. The window and sentiment cut files are from Images by Heather M.

I made the calla lilies using foam, following the tutorial by Dr Sonia. I love the look of them. Here's another card that I made recently with the same type of Calla Lilies. I hand-cut a few leaves from handmade paper.

Many of you may already know that Dr. Sonia is celebrating 5 million views of her blog. I'm linking this to her celebration post.

Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments.

Spring Fairies

Hello everyone!! I wanted to share a card that I made yesterday and some news.

First on to the card:

I cut the quatrefoil lattice on my Cricut. I downloaded this cut file from Bird's cards a long time ago and was waiting for a chance to use it. I stamped the Fairy Friends from Lili of the Valley on white card stock and colored it with Yasutomo water colors. I love the shimmer of these water colors!

I hope you can see the shimmer on this picture. I made the calla lilies with foam. I followed the tutorial by Dr. Sonia. I've been wanting to try this flower since the time I saw this tutorial. I finally got some foam that I could use for this. For the flower center, I rolled a thin strip if paper and colored it with Hero Arts Lemon Yellow. I cut some green handmade paper for leaves.

Onto the news now. We are expecting our second child in Aug. So you might not see me posting very often. Also, we are moving. My husband got a job in Kansas and we're travelling this weekend. So I might not be able to visit your blogs in the next week.

Also, as most of you might already know, Dr. Sonia is celebrating 5 million page views of her blog. I'm sure most of you, like me, enjoy her tutorials and posts. Let's help her celebrate it in style! I'm submitting this card to her celebration. If you have never been to her blog, stop by her blog here and check out her beautiful creations and easy-to-follow tutorials on many topics.

Thanks for stopping by. Thank you so much for your comments.

Congrats Bouquet

Hello everyone!! It's time for a new challenge here at the Unstampabelles. Our theme this month is 'Unlock Your Potential' with a twist to adding a key in your creation. You can create anything that shows unlocking someone's potential, congratulate someone who has done something great etc. The choice is yours. Here's what I've made to inspire you:

I used a beautiful paper that I had hoarded for years from the My Mind's Eye - Lost and Found - Blush, which I had got from Tracy's candy. I inked the edges with Pink Petunia chalk ink. I made some flowers which I cut out using a punch a a cut file on my Cricut. The swirly corner and the leaves were cut on my Cricut. I embossed the swirly corner with clear bark embossing powder from Stampendous.

The key is also cut on my Cricut. I designed the key on the Design Space using the circles and squares. I embossed it with Stampendous Clear Bark powder. The sentiment is hand written.

Do visit the Unstampabelles blog to see the lovely creations by the Susan and DT members. Susan has offered this lovely stencil and jewels as prize for the winner.

I hope you will give this a try and link up your creations.

Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments.
