Hello everyone! Today on Brutus Monroe, we are showcasing our new foil products with our creations other than cards. So I made a shaker bookmark to inspire you today.
Here's how I made it:
I don't have a Fuse tool. So I found a tutorial to make shaker bookmarks with a laminator. I cut plastic sleeves in to the size I wanted (roughly 1.4" x 6")
I laminated these pieces in the laminating pouch. I used 5" x 7" laminating pouches and it fit 3 bookmarks. Make sure to leave enough space between the plastic sleeve pieces so that when we cut them apart, the lamination still stays strong.
After laminating, cut the individual pieces apart. Now you have a clear pouch that is closed on 3 sides. You can fill whatever you want, in it.
I cut a piece of Distressed Circles clear toner sheet and foiled it with Tidepool foil.
Then I heat embossed a few starts on to it with Mermaid Tail embossing powder. Yes, these clear toner sheets are heat embossable (is that even a word?). The star stamps are from the Birthday Wishes and the Create a Cameo stamp sets. Then I inserted it into the pouch and added a few Cotton Candy bottle cap sequins and some irridescent sequins from my stash.
Then I sealed the 4th side with double sided adhesive tape. I trimmed the excess clear plastic.
I used a double sided scotch tape to cover the 4th side and folded the scotch tape on to itself. Then I adhered tidepool foil on to it. Then I punched a hole and added a ric rac ribbon.
How do you like this clear shaker bookmark? Do let me know in the comments. I made a similar one in Finding Dory theme for return gifts for my daughter's birthday. I will share the details of my daughter's birthday party in an upcoming post.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

What a cute idea. I read a lot, and always need bookmarks. I would like to make one of these.
What a wonderfully different bookmark! Love the embossing, such lovely colours, and the foiling too. Debra x
