GIU Day 2 - Everyday Blessings

Hello everyone!! Welcome to Day 2 of my Growing in Unity week. Today I have a Fall inspired card for you.

I started by stamping the leaves in the Never Be Afraid stamp set, which was the Kit of the Month, August 2017. I used Brutus Monroe Maple ink to stamp the leaves and inked them with Phonebook, Jack O Lantern, Heather and Maple surface inks. Then I fussy cut the leaves and colored the edges with a brown marker. I folded the leaves along the veins to give them a realistic look. I took a piece of white twine (I couldn't find my brown twine) and colored it with my brown marker and tied all the 3 leaves together and added a bow. Then I used foam tape and Brutus Monroe glue to adhere them to an A2 card base. I took a scrap piece of paper and heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set with Brutus Monroe Penny embossing powder. Then I cut it out in to a banner. I adhered it on to the card base with foam tape.

How do you like this card? Let me know in the comments. Unity Stamps has generously offered a prize of a grab bag of 25 random stamps to 2 people who comment on my GIU posts. You have until Sunday night to comment on all my GIU posts. I will pick a winner on Monday.

Here's my Day 1 post.

Thank you for stopping by today. Please do visit me tomorrow to see a new project with Unity Stamps. Hope you have a great day.

I love this card it reminds me when we were young and when I had my own children young gathering leaves and pressing them between wax paper to cut them out and make things with them. It is a fond memory and I thank you for reminding me
