Hello everyone!! Welcome back to my blog. Hope you are staying warm! I have another Pansy today, using the Altenew Pansy dies.
Let's start with die cutting. I die cut all the parts of the petals - for the yellow part, I used yellow card stock and for the purple part, I die cut them in white card stock and colored them with Copics. I tried 2 different combinations of color for the pansies - I searched in Google to see different colors of Pansies and decided to go with these 2. I adhered the different petal layers together with glue and shaped certain parts of the petals to give it a dimensional look. I die cut the leaf layers in white card stock and adhered them with glue. I arranged them on an A2 card base to see how well it looks. I decided to add some soft inking along the edges with Hero Arts Orchid ink. I adhered all the flowers and leaves with glue and a few foam dots to give a bit of dimension to this flower arrangement. Finally I stamped the sentiment from Altenew Statement Flowers stamp set.
In case you haven't seen it yet, here is my previous post using the same Pansy dies. This die set can seem a little intimidating at first, with 10 different die cut pieces for 1 flower. But trust me, with my Snap machine, it was a breeze to die cut them all repeatedly for the 5 flowers - I did all the die cutting together at one time and then did all the coloring together. I made this card in this color scheme for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge.
