Tinkerbell Birthday Banner

 Hello everyone!! Welcome back! I'm on the Craftwell blog today, with the banner I made for my daughter's birthday. My daughter wanted a Tinkerbell themed birthday party this year and I decided on making a tree stump cake for her, with Tinkerbell and fairy figurines. I wanted to make a banner that would go well with the cake design. I couldn't find much inspiration on tree stump banners online. So I decided to make my own version. Warning: This is a picture heavy post!

I started by cutting the banners using the outer die from Spellbinders Double Heart Gatefold die set. Then I embossed all the banner pieces with CraftWell Woodgrain Cottage embossing folder. I swiped the Brutus Monroe macchiato ink over the embossed lines. I die cut all the alphabets using Altenew Mega Alphabet dies on gold card stock. I adhered the letters on to the banners with foam tape.

For embellishing the banner, I decided to use flowers. I had a lot of flower dies, some of them were not even used once! What better time to use them than now! So I took out a bunch of die sets from different companies and started die cutting them. My Cut N Boss and SNAP were working full night shifts!

Here are some of the flower/buerfly dies I used : Crafter's Companion - Classic Lily, Crafter's Companion - Chic Butterflies, Karen Burniston - Flower Pot pop up, MFT - Lily, Sizzix - Anthurium, Sizzix - Sweet Pea, Spellbinders - Coreopsis, Spellbinders - Floral Oval, Tutti Designs - Lily Of the Valley. 

My other daughter punched out some leafy vines using a MS punch. I added all these flowers, butterflies and leaves to the banners.

The banner came out exactly the way I envisioned! It looked so pretty on the green/yellow tulle backdrop I had made. If you are short on time, my only advise would be to use those huge floral frames (like the Lily of the Valley or the Floral Oval) instead of making 3D flowers - those 3D flowers will take some time but they are worth every second!

Spring Birthday

 Hello everyone!! I'm on the Craftwell blog today, with a Spring birthday card.

I decided to use pastel colors for this Spring card. I've used a bunch of different dies on this one. The flowers were die cut using the Karen Burniston - Pop up Flower Pot die set. I shaped the flowers and added a pearl for the center of the flowers. For the leaves and flourishes, I used the Floral Flourishes die set from Spellbinders. For the sentiment panel, I used the Amazing Paper Grace - Sentimental Christmas die set. The sentiment is from Tubby Craft stamp set. The butterfly is from Crafter's Companion die set. I assembled all the die cuts on an ivory card stock. I think ivory looks better than white for this color scheme.

Coral Flowers

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Craftwell blog, sharing this Mother's Day card with flowers that I made for my Mom. I got to spend Mother's Day with my Mom after a few years :)

I took an A2 card base and die cut the edge with 2 dies from Spellbinders Scalloped Borders 3 die set. I used the same dies to die cut the edge on a panel of Coral cardstock and adhered it on the inside of the card. I used the Spellbinders Stained Glass die on gold mirror cardstock to cut out the center piece and adhered it on to the card base. Then I die cut some flowers and leaves using the Karen Burniston Flower Pot pop-up dies. I shaped the flowers with the tools and added a half pearl in the center. I arranged the flowers and leaves and adhered them on to the card. I die cut the swirl from the Graceful Corners die set from Amazing Paper Grace & Spellbinders on the same gold card stock, cut a tiny bit on both ends and adhered it below the flowers. For the sentiment panel, I die cut the label die from Inspired by Stamping on white card stock and while the die cut was still in the die, I inked it lightly with Brutus Monroe Stargazer ink. I stamped the sentiment from one of the Verve Stamps stamp set and added it on to the card. Here's a look at the inside of the card:

Wedding Congratulations

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Craftwell blog today, with a Congratulations card, that I made for a friend's wedding.

I started with a 5" x 7" ivory card base. I die cut the Double Heart Gatefold die on brown card stock twice. I then die cut a heart out of the same brown card stock and used it as a base for the wreath. I die cut the leaves using the dies from the Karen Burniston - Pop-up Flower pot die and the flowers from the Sizzix Small Tattered Florals die. I adhered the leaves and flowers and a few pearls along the edge of the heart die cut. I arranged everything on the ivory card base and adhered them. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Brutus Monroe - Sharon's Script stamp set with Gilded Embossing powder on ivory card stock and adhered it down after curving it a little.

Happy Birthday

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Craftwell blog today with this pop-up card.

For the card front, I blended the Brutus Monroe Auburgine ink over the Brutus Monroe Elegant Egg stencil.I then added a strip of purple card stock and Brutus Monroe - Sterling Glitter Stock to the left edge of the card base. Then I die cut some flowers from 2 shades of purple card stock using the flowers from Karen Burniston Flower - Pot Pop-up die set. I also die cut some leaves from Brutus Monroe Cabbage card stock using the die set. For the sentiment, I die cut the "Happy Birthday" from the dark purple card stock with the Brutus Monroe - Happy Birthday die and adhered it with glue. For the final touch, I added a butterfly which I die cut using the Crafter's Companion - Chic Butterfy die set on a purple card stock. 

Here's one more look at the card front before we look at the inside of the card.

I used the Karen Burniston - Flower Pot Pop-up die to make the inside of the card. I assembled them according to the instructions on the package. For the flower pot, I stenciled them with the same stencil and ink I used the card front (Brutus Monroe Elegant Egg stencil and Aubergine ink). I added some flowers and butterflies to the flower pot. To add a little more interest, I used a doily for the flower pot and added some flourishes which I die cut on purple card stock using the Karen Burniston - Charm Accordion Die set.

Karen Burniston - Brutus Monroe Blog Hop

Hello everyone!!! Today at Brutus Monroe, we are using Karen Burniston Dies with Brutus Monroe products. Here's what I made with the Charm Accordion Die set from KB Burniston and Cozy Coffee from Brutus Monroe.

And here's the front of the card:

All the dies I used are from the Charm Accordion Die set from Karen Burniston. I die cut the base twice in white and grey to create the 4 panels. The die set has a hinge that you can use to link any number of panels (the die will cut out a 2 panel fold).

I stamped the coffee cup and colored it with alcohol markers. I fussy cut it and added it on the card front and one of the panels. I stamped the sentiment and added it on one of the panels. For the other two panels, I die cut the heart charm from the die set. 

For the coffee cup charms, I used the premium shrink film from Brutus Monroe. I stamped the coffee cup on the shrink film with Gargoyle ink and let it dry. Then I colored it with the same colors and fuzzy cut it. Then I used my heat tool to shrink it. It was like magic! Well, this is my first time using shrink films ;) I attached it using a metal string.

The decorative dies are from the same die set. I love how this has turned out. It was pretty straight forward. Karen has a video showing how to use this die set.
