Mushroom Birthday

Hello everyone! I have a birthday card with a wood/mushroom theme to share with you today.

I've been seeing lot of new releases with mushroom themed supplies and it inspired me to get out one of my die sets that I've had for a long time and never used yet. This is the Hero Arts - Mushroom and Ferns die set. I die cut all the images on white card stock and colored with Copics. For the background, I embossed a piece of brown card stock with Craftwell - Woodgrain embossing folder. I die cut a oval using Divinity Designs - Elegant Oval and stamped the sentiment from Altenew stamps. I arranged the mushrooms and ferns and adhered them down.

How do you like today's card? Please do let me know in the comments below. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!

Moments to Treasure

Hello everyone!! I'm sharing a altered wooden plaques that I made quite recently. I've been meaning to alter this wooden plaque that I had bought almost a year back, but never got to it. So finally, I dived into it last week and I'm quite satisfied with the outcome.

Here it is.

I covered it with white acrylic paint using the Adriondack white paint dabber. Then I gave a few coats of blue acrylic paint (I really was not sure if the white coat was necesary. But since this is my first project, I was nervous about the outcome. I'm really not that good at painting. I sprayed water, applied blue paint and continued doing this until I was frustrated ;) ). I then used 2 small Studio G stamps and part of a stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' Decorative Frame Toppers Clear Stamp Set to create a beautiful background with silver ink pad. I used my heat tool to dry it.

Then I stamped the chandelier and the sentiment "Moments to Treasure" from Whimsy Stamps' A Touch of Elegant Furniture and embossed it with white embossing powder.

I punched out a butterfly using my MS punch and used hot glue to stick it. I bought this glue gun quite a while back and was really scared to use it. But finally I opened the package and I used tweezers to hold the butterfly while sticking it :) But after using it once, I really love it!!!

I punched out a few pine leaves using the MS punch and added a few white flowers from my stash. I used hot glue for this also.

Edit:
