Hello all, I'm back with a butterfly and baby mobile which I made for my daughter (She's 4 months old now!!) She likes to see things which are swaying, so I guess this will draw her attention!!
I bought 2 of the DIY flowers and sparkles mobile kit from Itsy Bitsy, as soon as my daughter was born. But I could't find the time to do it. Recently, I saw a butterfly baby mobile on Etsy. I wanted to do something similar. So I decided to do a baby mobile with flowers and butterfly, in lavender and pink colors, perfect for a baby girl!!
Since I had 2 of the DIY kits, there were a lot of foam flowers in it. Each kit had 2 strings that will form a plus shaped frame for the mobile and it had pink and lavender beads on it. I joined all the 4 strings together and a circle out of it. Then, I punched out butterflies from pink and lavender colored papers and strung in transparent string. There are 2 butterflies in each butterfly hanging, so that, in whatever direction you look, you can see a butterfly.
For the center hanging, I used 4 butterflies - 2 each of pink and lavender colors.
I added a few bows and used ribbon for hanging it.
I'm not very satisfied with the result. It looks very naive. This is my first attempt and hope to improve in the future!!
