Delicate Butterflies

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Brutus Monroe blog today with this beautiful and delicate card.

I applied the Razzleberry Pearl Paste through the stencil of the month from April, on an A2 card base. I stamped 3 butterflies from the Butterfly Sentiments stamp set on vellum and heat embossed it with Sterling embossing powder. Then I fussy cut those beautiful delicate butterflies. Once the pearl paste dried, I added those delicate butterflies on top of it. I love how delicate and elegant it looks. Then I stamped the sentiment "Congratulations" from the Sharon's Script stamp set - this stamp set has become my go to for sentiments!!

How do you like this card today? Please do let me know in the comments below. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!!

Birthday Wishes Anemones

Hello everyone!! I'm here to share a card that I made today.

I stamped the WPlus9 Modern Anemones on a piece of white cardstock, colored them with Copics - RV14, RV13 and RV21 for the flowers, E57 for the flower centers and G99, YG67, YG63 and YG03 for the leaves and fussy cut them. I stamped and embossed the Our Daily Bead Designs - Crocheted Background on vellum with Wow! White Pearl embossing powder. I cut a piece of pink card stock to size 5" x 3.75" and adhered the vellum on it. I arranged the flowers and leaves on it and adhered it using double sided adhesive tape and foam tape of varying heights to add more dimension to the flowers. I embossed the sentiment 'birthday wishes' from Inspired By Stmping - Summer Bouquet stamp set with Wow! Ebony embossing powder on vellum and cut it into a fishtail banner and adhered it above the flowers. I adhered the entire panel on white top folding A2 card base and added a few pearls colored with RV14.

I love the subtle look of the embossed Crocheted Background on the pink background.

I made this card just in time for the Taylored Expressions 9th Birthday Sketch Challenge. Here's the sketch:

Embossed Pattern

Hello everyone!! Hope you are having a wonderful day! After a few days, I managed to get some craft done today. I made a quick card that was inspired by the Virginia's View Challenge. The challenge is to create geometric pattern. Here's what I came up with:

I love gold embossing on vellum. When I saw the inspiration picture for the challenge, I decided to use it on this card. I stamped one of the stamps from the Stamplorations' VIGNETTE: Art Deco Border Builders stamp set repeatedly using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold powder. The stamp image is actually a square tile like one. I used one of the templates from here to help with the stamping.

The sentiment is from the same set. I heat embossed it with gold powder again, to match with the pattern. I used a mint-y green paper backing for the vellum.

So what are your thoughts on this? Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate all your comments.

Congrats Flowers

Hello everyone!! I'm sharing another card that I made over the weekend. I've been planning to try stamping on vellum for a very long time. So when I saw a few cards in this style and a CASE challenge on them, I decided to take it. So here's my card:

I used the flowers and leaves from Winnie & Walter's the Big, the Bold and the Extras. This is one of my favorite stamps to color. I masked and stamped the flowers on the right lower corner of the vellum panel and let it overflow onto the black cardstock. I then embossed it with gold powder. I colored it with Faber Castell connector pens.

The sentiment is from Winnie & Walter's the Big, the Bold and You. I embossed it with gold powder. I then added a thin strip of glitter tape around the vellum.

I'm on a card making spree now thanks to Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge :) It is really a stress buster.

Thanks for stopping by. Do let me know your suggestions and comments.
