Hello everyone!! I apologize for being MIA for sometime. My daughter turned 1 on November 28 and we had the party on Dec 7. Also now that she has started walking, I'm busy running behind her :) But I made a few things for christmas decoration. I will be sharing them soon.
So off to the card.
Here is the front view of the card.
I created a window. Initially I thought of using acetate, but later I decided I wanted a 'frosted' look and hence I used tissue paper (I didn't have any vellum at the time). I added a few punched pine leaves and the poinsettia is a stamp from Joanna Sheen's "Make A Wish" set. I embossed it with gold embossing powder and colored it with sketch pen. The sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' Christmas Penguins Clear Stamp Set. I drew the serial lights with black pen and sketch pens.
I decided to add a little bit of snow on the leaves. So I embossed a few spots on the leaves with white embossing powder.
This is a top opening card. Now onto the inside of the card.
I made a christmas tree with punched out pine leaves. I took a triangle piece of paper and covered it unevenly with scrap pieces of green paper (same one that I used for leaves). Then I glued the leaves on top of it. I used a golden color glitter foam star as my topper. I used some crystals and sequins for my ornaments. I wrapped a golden twine around the tree. I mounted the tree on foam tape.
Here's a side view on the tree.
I guess you can see the twine in this pic.
The window view when the card is closed.
The green color and the bling is visible through the window though not very clearly.
Please let me know your thoughts and comments.
Thank you for visiting me today. Enjoy the rest of your day.

I love your tree made from the die-cut leaves (which I also have). You have patiently put them altogether to make that very beautiful tree. Amazing! Thanks a lot for joining our Challenge last week at Word Art Wednesday. There's still time to enter more projects in this week's Challenge so, I hope you come back and join us again. Want to share God's Word with you found in Psalm 27:14 which says, "Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." A Blessed and Happy New Year to you!
