Surface Inks

Hello everyone!! Today on the Brutus Monroe blog hop, we are using the Brutus Monroe Surface ink. I have 2 cards using the same stencil for today!

For my first card, I used the surface inks Cabbage, Zest and Phonebook to blend through the stencil Elegant Egg, which is the stencil of the month for February! How elegant is that egg! Then I heat embossed the sentiment "Have a Beautiful Day" from the Rose Border stamp set with yellow embossing powder on Raven card stock. I cut it out and adhered it on top of the egg with foam tape. Here's another look at the card:

Here's my second card, using emboss resist ink blending with surface ink!

For my second card, I inked a card base through the Elegant Egg stencil with Embossing ink and heat embossed it with the Pearl embossing powder, which is the Embossing powder of the month for February. I embossed it once again. Then I inked the card base with one of the colors that I haven't used as much - Stargazer! How gorgeous is that color! I then heat embossed the same sentiment with Pearl embossing powder on Raven card stock, cut it and adhered it with foam tape.

How do you like my cards today? Please do let me know! The surface inks blend so smoothly and effortlessly! These inks are by far my favorite to use for blending.

Here's the hop order for today:

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone! How are you today? I'm here to share a very simple Christmas card that I made.

I recently won a giveaway from Penny Black and got the beautiful A Bright Tomorrow stamp set. It has beautiful Christmas/Winter images. I embossed the beautiful flourishes from this stamp set with Wow! White pearl embossing powder. I should say that I'm in love with this powder. It's so pretty. I also embossed the sentiment from a Hero Arts set with the same white pearl powder. I applies Distress Ink Tumbled Glass, Broken China and a little bit of Mermaid lagoon over the embossed images. The embossed images resist the ink and stay white! I added a few Nuvo drops in Ivory Seashell color. This is a pretty simple card to make.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great day.
