Through The Window

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a Spring window scene card.

I used the Honey Bee Stamps - Seasonal Frame to die cut most of the elements for this scene. I decided to use a grey tone for the window and the wall. I could have ink blended before adhering the wall and window to the card base, but forgot to. So I die cut another piece of paper to use as a mask while I ink blended coral, yellow and blue on to the window scene. All the leaves, flower layers and bird layers from the same die set. The sentiment is from Inspired By stamping set, which I fussy cut and adhered it on to the scene.

Marvelous Day

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a new-to-me style card.

I ink blended a piece of white card stock with Memento Morocco, Brutus Monroe Stargazer and Hero Arts Ultra Pink. Then I used the Altenew - Deco Wallpaper stencil to blend the same colors. I matted this panel with a black panel. I die cut the leafy branch using the Altenew - Just Leaves die set and adhered it to the base. The sentiment is from Altenew - Summer Wishes stamp set.

This style is not something that I do often. So I would appreciate your comments on this. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.

Birthday Tulips

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have another floral birthday card.

I used the Hero arts - Tulips stamp and stamped a bunch of flowers and leaves and colored them with copics. I fussy cut them and colored the edges black. I took a card base and used the Hero Arts - Art Deco stencil and Hero Arts - tide pool ink to do the background. I arranged the flowers and leaves in a bouquet and added the bow die cut from The Greetery - Fit to be a tied die set. For the sentiment, I stamped the happy birthday from the same stamp set and fussy cut it.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day!

Embossed Pine

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog! Today I have another Christmas card to share with you.

I used the Altenew - Classic Pinecone 3D embossing folder for this card. I embossed the panel and inked it with Brutus Monroe green and brown inks. Then I used some of the leftovers from Altenew- Fine frames Diamonds that I had used in another project and inked it with a very light suede ink. For the sentiment I used Altenew - Fancy Peace die. The colors for this card is inspired by the current Altenew Challenge

Holly Joy

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog! Today I have a simple and quick Christmas card to share with you.

Last year, I saw a lot of Christmas cards with this color combo and wanted to try it - I have not used this green for Christmas cards before. I must say this is a new favorite for Christmas cards now. I used the Hero Arts - Holly stamp and stamped it with Embossing ink on the green cardstock. I used the Brutus Monroe - Grass Stain ink to ink the edges of the panel. For the sentiment, I die cut The Greetery - Abundant Joy die on the same color card stock and gold card stock. I added a few gems and that's it!

Acanthus Birthday

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have 2 cards that I made with the same set of supplies and theme.

I used the Altenew - CYL Floral Acanthus set to make both of these cards. I've been wanting to try to die cut the pieces using the die set from the CYL set and emboss the die cut pieces with the 3D embossing folder from the set. The embossing folder does not coordinate with the die set or stamp set directly, but with a few hacks, I was able to do that. I started by die cutting the pieces on white cardstock. Then I put the individual pieces on the embossing folder, aligned it as needed, spritzed some water and embossed it.

I had to trim off the excess from the embossed images, since the die cuts were a bit larger than the embossing. After trimming them to size, I used the stencil with a few different inks, namely Brutus Monroe - Jack O Lantern, Stargazer, Rouge, Memento - Morocco to blend in some colors to match the theme from the current Altenew Inspiration Challenge.

Now I have a bunch of pieces that I needed to assemble. All the pieces wouldn't fit on 1 card, so I decided to make 2. I also had a few extra die cuts that were not embossed. I colored them too, with inks. I wanted to use black, as I thought it would be nice to have these bright colors on a black background.

I just love these colors. For the sentiment, I used this stamp from Inspired By Stamping.

So here are both cards, using the same set of supplies and color themes. How do you like it? Do let me know. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Chickadee in Fall

Hello everyone!! I'm back today, with a Fall themed card using some Honey Bee stamp dies.

I know, I know! We only use Chickadees in Winter/Christmas cards! Well, I took a leap and used it in a Fall card. The bird is made with the Honey Bee Stamps - Lovely Layers: Winter Birds die set. I used colored card stock to cut them and glue them. It was pretty easy to make this adorable bird. For the leaves, I used Honey Bee stamps - Lovely Layers: Peony and Lovely Layers: Anemone die sets. I die cut the leaves on white card stock and used Memento - Morocco and Dandelion inks and Brutus Monroe - Rogue inks to color them. For the background, I die cut the arch window using the Arch dies from Scrapbook.com and then embossed it with Altenew - 3D Deck Planks embossing folder. I skipped the sentiment since I couldn't figure out a way to add one without ruining the look.

Fall Thank You

Hello everyone!! Today is  blog hop day at Brutus Monroe and we are using the beautiful subscription products from this month. Here's my card for today:

I stamped the current stamp of the month with Raven ink and colored it with Copics. I die cut it with an oval die. Then I took an A2 card base and inked it with Jack-O-Lantern ink over the current stencil of the month - isn't it gorgeous!! Then I inked about 1/4" on the left and right edges with the ink to give it a border. I adhered the oval panel on to it. I adhered a few acrylic bubbles on it.

Peace On Earth

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Craftwell blog today with a Christmas card.

Ever since I bought this nativity border die from Taylored Expressions, I've been wanting to make a Christmas card with it. I die cut it out of Brutus Monroe Raven card stock with my Cut n Boss. I love the silhouette look. Then I took an A2 card base and blended the ink colors - Midnight, Plum, Cabana, Lapis and Sea from Brutus Monroe, in that order from top down. I blended a little bit of Phonebook ink, for the halo. I adhered the die cut at the bottom of the card base. I die cut just the star part with Brutus Monroe Sterling glitterstock and adhered it on top of the black star. For the sentiment, I found the perfect one in the Divinity Designs - Christmas Mini set. I heat embossed the Peace On Earth sentiment with Brutus Monroe Sterling Embossing powder.
