Birthday Hibiscus

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a birthday card with hibiscus flowers.

I used the Altenew - Paint A Flower - Hibiscus to stamp the flowers using Fade-out ink for no-line coloring, then colored them with copic markers and fussy cut them. I colored the flowers in coral and pink. I die cut the Altenew - Fine Frames: Diamonds to die cut the 3 thin diamond frames in white and adhered them to black card stock panel. I added the flowers to this. For the sentiment, I used the happy birthday from Altenew - Fresh Freesia Stamp set and fussy cut it too. That’s pretty much it.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!

Blue Carnation

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a floral card to share with you.

Recently I bought quite a few goodies from Altenew. The Ratan Stripe die and Garden Trellis die are part of the haul. I die cut the Ratan Stripes twice and the Garden Trellis once and layered them to create the background. The floral image is a freebie coloring card that was included in my order. If you follow me on instagram, you might have seen me post the colored card. I love coloring these cards. I fussy cut the image  and added on to the background. The sentiment is from Altenew - Fresh Flowers- Freesia.

I love how the background looks. What do you think? Do let me. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day.

Vintage Lantern

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog! Today I have a Christmas card with a Christmas lamp.

I bought this Simon Says Stamp - Antique Lamp a while ago, but didn’t get a chance to use it. I just loved the samples the design team had done with it and wanted to do justice lol! I embossed a piece of blue cardstock with the embossing folder. This folder comes with a set of dies too, which I used to die cut pieces of white cardstock. It cuts out the lamp part of it. I embossed the die cut pieces with the folder again. Then I colored the die cut and embossed pieces with copics. The background blue cardstock which I embossed the entire scene - I blended some darker blue ink from around the edges until I reached the lamp. I also added some dark grey ink around the edges alone. I inked some yellow around where the candle flame is. I swiped my white ink pad gently to get some white on the snow fall. I then adhered the copic colored pieces on top of the embossed image in the background. I used my wink of Stella pen - which I discovered in my stash this week ;) - to add some shimmer to the sow on the lamp. That’s it!

How do you like this card today? Please do let me know. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Hope you are having a great Thanksgiving break with friends/family. I'm guest designing at Word Art Wednesday this month. Here's my card for this Wednesday (I'm posting it a bit late)

I stamped the Altenew - Fresh Freesia with Fadeout ink and colored them with Copics. I fussy cut them out. I also stamped and colored the Altenew - Hope Butterfly. I added some enamel dots from Altenew as finishing touch. The color inspiration is from the current Altenew Inspiration Challenge.

Flowers in Arch

Hello everyone! I have another copic colored floral card inspired by Altenew Inspiration Challenge today.

I used the Altenew - Peonies and Berries stamp set, a very well loved stamp set with which I have made a lot of cards :) I used masking sheets and stamped the entire floral bunch with Fadeout ink for no-line coloring. I used my copic markers for coloring. I bought this Scrapbook.com arch die set earlier this year and been waiting to use it. This card seemed like the perfect opportunity to open it. The sentiment is from Altenew - Fresh Freesia stamp set. Color inspiration is from Altenew Challenge.

Diamond Frame Flowers

Hello everyone! I'm back with another card for the Altenew Challenge, this time using a die set that I have not used yet.

I started by embossing the background with Altenew - Geo Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder. I love how crisp that embossing looks. Then I stamped the Altenew - Flower Delight stamp with Fadeout ink for no-line coloring. I fussy cut the image after coloring it with Copics. I die cut the Fine Frame - Diamonds on white card stock. I used pieces of washi tape to hold the positive and negative die cuts together, so that the positive die cuts hold the shape. Then I carefully removed the negative die cuts (and put it safe to use for another project ;)) with the washi tape still on and applied glue on the back of the frames and glued it on to the embossed card stock. Then I removed the washi tape. I adhered the floral image and sentiment on to the card. The color is inspired from the Altenew Challenge.

I took a burgundy colored card stock and embossed it with Altenew - Illusion Triangels 3D embossing folder. I die cut the frame from the Altenew - New Day Card Kit Heart frame die set. The sentiment is also from the Statement Flowers stamp set. The inspiration for this card comes from this picture of Altenew Inspiration Challenge (for which I made this card):

GIU Day 2 - Wonderful Flowers

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today is Day 2 of my Growing in Unity Week. Today I have a mini slim line floral card for you using Linen Flowers stamp set.

I wanted to make this card in mini slim line style. I stamped the floral image with Ink on 3 - Fade Out ink for no-line coloring and colored it with Copic markers (I used R24, R22 and R20 for red, G99, YG67, YG3, YG61 and YG03 for green). This image reminds me of embroidered flowers on frocks from my childhood. I stamped the sentiment over the flowers. I did not have a matching color card stock for matting. So I colored the edges of the card base with R22 (middle color I used) to match with the flowers. For pearls, I took some white pearls and colored them with R24 (darkest color I used) to match perfectly!

How do you like this card? Let me know in the comments. Unity Stamps has generously offered $20 gift credit to 2 people who comment on my GIU posts. You have until Sunday night to comment on all my GIU posts. I will pick 2 random winners on Monday.

Thank you for stopping by today. Please do visit me tomorrow to see a new project with Unity Stamps. Hope you have a great day.
