Sparkling Snowflakes

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a sparkly winter card.

I used the Simon Says Stamp - Refined Snowflakes 3D embossing folder to emboss the background. I die cut the snowflakes using Simon Says Stamp - Joy Snowflake and Divinity Designs - Snow Crystals die set. I die cut them on white glitter and silver glitter papers. I die cut the sentiment using The Greetery - Abundant Joy die set with the same papers. I layered the snowflakes and adhered it on toe background. I then adhered the sentiment with foam tape. I added some gems to finish it off.

How do you like my card today. Please do let me know. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Winter Birthday

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a white on white winter birthday card.

I recently bought some new dies from the Simon Says Stamp Diecember sale. The Birthday Wishes and Forest Greenery dies are new from that haul. The Simon Says Stamp 3D embossing folder is also new to me. For the Birthday Wishes die, I used vellum for one of the layers.

Peace Sprig

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a card that I made for a few challenges.

I bought some Simon Says Stamp dies during the diecember sale and this Rustic Sprigs is one of them. I decided to use that on this white on white card. The background is the Simon Says Stamp - Holidy Greenery 3D embossing folder. I die cut 2 of the sprigs and arranged them on the embossed panel. The sentiment is Altenew - Fancy Peace, which I die cut in white and gray. I layered the white on grey slightly offset, so that it appears like a small shadow.

I love reading your comments. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Peace, Love And Joy

Hello everyone! Today I have a card that I made for a couple of challenges.

I used the Spellbinders - Poinsettia die set designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn to make the poinsettia. For the pine bough and pine cone, I used the Elizabeth Craft Designs - White Pine Pinecone and Bough, also designed be her. I decided to do a see through shaker window with arch dies. I used a mix of red and gold shaker mixes. The background is Altenew - Deck Planks 3D embossing folder. Now, this is an easel card.

The stopper for the easel is the sentiment die cut, which is Altenew - Fancy Peace. I layered multiple die cuts to get the thickness. The other part of the sentiment ‘Joy and Love’ is from the Inspired by Stamping -  Poinsettia stamp set, stamped in gold ink. Here’s a better look at the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by. Peace, Joy and Love for a wonderful new year!

On the red paper ornaments, I gold embossed the Hero Arts - holly stamp. For the background, I used the Altenew- Deck Planks 3D embossing folder. Vintage Lantern

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog! Today I have a Christmas card with a Christmas lamp.

I bought this Simon Says Stamp - Antique Lamp a while ago, but didn’t get a chance to use it. I just loved the samples the design team had done with it and wanted to do justice lol! I embossed a piece of blue cardstock with the embossing folder. This folder comes with a set of dies too, which I used to die cut pieces of white cardstock. It cuts out the lamp part of it. I embossed the die cut pieces with the folder again. Then I colored the die cut and embossed pieces with copics. The background blue cardstock which I embossed the entire scene - I blended some darker blue ink from around the edges until I reached the lamp. I also added some dark grey ink around the edges alone. I inked some yellow around where the candle flame is. I swiped my white ink pad gently to get some white on the snow fall. I then adhered the copic colored pieces on top of the embossed image in the background. I used my wink of Stella pen - which I discovered in my stash this week ;) - to add some shimmer to the sow on the lamp. That’s it!

Pink Poinsettia

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog! Today I have a pink and purple Christmas card with pink poinsettia.

I started by embossing a piece of purple cardstock with Altenew - Layered Snowflakes 3D embossing folder. I then die cut poinsettia using Altenew - Poinsettia on pink cardstock and inked it lightly with Mauve. I also die cut the Altenew - Fine Frames cover plate on white glitter paper. This was a bit thin paper, so I had trouble while adhering it down. I die cut some pine boughs using Elizabeth Craft Design dies. The sentiment is from Altenew - Poinsettia and Berries stamp set. The colors are from the Altenew Challenge

Shaker Lantern

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a shaker lantern shaped tag for Christmas.

I used the Lantern die from Honey Bee Stamps to die cut the frame and cut out a white backing cardstock based on that. The branches, poinsettias, pine cones, mistletoe and bird are from the Honey Bee Stamps- Lovely Layers: Seasonal Frame. I used some shaker mixes from Doodles Paper Playground to create a shining and shimmery mix for the shaker. I didn’t want to add a sentiment, as that would kinda block the view, lol! I can write it on the back. I love how it turned out.

What do you think? Please do let me know in the comments. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Red Poinsettia

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card with a big red poinsettia.

I used the Altenew - Poinsettia die to die cut the poinsettia layers and assembled them. I die cut 1 layer in green as well and cut it up and added behind the red layers. I also die cut some pine boughs from Elizabeth Craft Designs - White Pine Pinecone and Boughs and some berry branches from Altenew - Branches and Berries die set in 2 different shades of green. For the sentiment, I die cut the Altenew - Fancy Peace in gold and adhered it to a thin strip of acetate. I then adhered one end of the acetate on the poinsettia. This gives it a floating look. I colored some white pearls with ,y comics to create those tiny berries. The colors are inspired by the Altenew Inspiration Challenge

Warm & Cozy Holiday

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog! I have a pink & purple Christmas card for you today.

This card was purely inspired by the Altenew Inspiration Challenge colors. I'm in full speed, making Christmas cards now and when I saw these colors, I wanted to try making Christmas cards with this scheme.

I mostly lean towards traditional colors for Christmas cards, so this was a new challenge for me. But now I do have a few more ideas to try - wait and see ;) I ink blend the background with pink and purple inks - Hero Arts: Orchid, Ultra Pink and Passion Flower. Then I embossed the panel with Altenew - Geo Diamonds 3D embossing folder after spraying water on the back of the panel. Look how crisp the embossing is. Then I die cut some snowflakes on white card stock and vellum using the Altenew - Layered Snowflakes 2 die set. I layered vellum snowflakes on top of white snowflakes and adhered them on to the panel. I used the same 3 inks to stamp the sentiment little by little on a white card stock. The sentiment is from Altenew - Winter Crocus stamp set. I added a few gems for finishing touch. The vellum is not very visible in the pictures, but you can see it if you look long enough lol!

Blue Snowflakes New Year

Hello everyone! I have a quick and simple New Year card today.

I used the Inspired By Stamping - Snowflakes stamp set. Even though Inspired By Stamping is closed now, Joanna has the stamp sets in her Etsy shop. I stamped the snowflakes in 3 different teal shades of ink to create the background. The sentiment is from Power Poppy - Glistening Paperwhites stamp set.

Altenew September 2022 Winter Magic Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Hello everyone!! Altenew is releasing some amazing Winter themed products today and I'm so excited to hop along with some amazing designers to share some inspiration.

We love celebrating the winter season, and this release includes everything you need to do just that! Let your holiday cards shine with trendy typography, classic poinsettias, or a modern tree. A timeless wreath of mistletoe (with coordinating embossing folder and stencils!), winter florals, and hot foil plates and dies to finish off the release. 'Tis the season!

Here are the cards that I made with this release:

This first card uses the Layered Snowflakes 2 die set. I die cut the different snowflakes in 3 different shades of teal card stock and layered them. I added some blue/teal sequins for some sparkle. The sentiment is from the Winter Crocus stamp set. I added some snowflakes to the inside of the card too.

This adds just the perfect elegance to the inside of the card as well.

For the second card, I used the Mistletoe Wreath 3D Embossing folder and colored it with alcohol markers. The sentiment is from the Mistletoe Wreath stamp set

Next card uses the Shrub Rose layering stamp set. I decided to stamp the layers without the outline stamp to get a no-line look. I stamped and colored the berries with alcohol markers. I added the pine cone and leaves from the Pinecone stamp set, to make the flower arrangement more winter-like. I gold embossed the sentiment from Winter Crocus stamp set

For my final card, I stamped the Dotted Pinwheels in gold on black for the background. I stamped and colored the crocus flowers from the Winter Crocus stamp set and fussy cut and added to the background. The sentiment is from the Shrub Rose stamp set

Snowflake Wonder

Hello everyone! First of all, wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Hope you all have a lovely Christmas filled with wonderful memories. I have a simple Christmas card to share with you all today.

I decided to try another card with the Snowflakes stamp set. I took a piece of white cardstock of size 4" x 5.25" and stamped the snowflakes from the Snowflake Wonder stamp set using various shades of blue. I inked the edges of the card base with Distress Ink Broken China. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, die cut it with a die from the Fancy Labels 2 die set and inked it with the Broken China ink while it's still in the die. That creates a beautiful white border around the inked sentiment. I added some ribbon and a bow from the Blue Ribbon Collection. I love how this has turned out.
