Altenew September 2022 Winter Magic Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

 Hello everyone!! Altenew is releasing some amazing Winter themed products today and I'm so excited to hop along with some amazing designers to share some inspiration.

We love celebrating the winter season, and this release includes everything you need to do just that! Let your holiday cards shine with trendy typography, classic poinsettias, or a modern tree. A timeless wreath of mistletoe (with coordinating embossing folder and stencils!), winter florals, and hot foil plates and dies to finish off the release. 'Tis the season!

Here are the cards that I made with this release:

This first card uses the Layered Snowflakes 2 die set. I die cut the different snowflakes in 3 different shades of teal card stock and layered them. I added some blue/teal sequins for some sparkle. The sentiment is from the Winter Crocus stamp set. I added some snowflakes to the inside of the card too.

This adds just the perfect elegance to the inside of the card as well.

For the second card, I used the Mistletoe Wreath 3D Embossing folder and colored it with alcohol markers. The sentiment is from the Mistletoe Wreath stamp set. 

Next card uses the Shrub Rose layering stamp set. I decided to stamp the layers without the outline stamp to get a no-line look. I stamped and colored the berries with alcohol markers. I added the pine cone and leaves from the Pinecone stamp set, to make the flower arrangement more winter-like. I gold embossed the sentiment from Winter Crocus stamp set. 

For my final card, I stamped the Dotted Pinwheels in gold on black for the background. I stamped and colored the crocus flowers from the Winter Crocus stamp set and fussy cut and added to the background. The sentiment is from the Shrub Rose stamp set.

New Year

Hello everyone!! Happy New Year! May this year bring you lots of Joy, Peace and Happiness!!

Today, at Brutus Monroe we are wishing you Happy New Year with our cards. Here's mine:

I took a piece of Raven card stock and heat embossed the lights from the String Lights stamp set with Gilded Embossing Powder. I then stamped the sentiment using the Uppercase Alphabet Outline stamp and Lowercase Alphabet Outline stamp set and heat embossed them with Gilded Embossing powder. For some final touches, I added a couple of golden sequins from the Handmade Holidays sequin mix.

Hello everyone!! Today is Blog Hop day at Brutus Monroe and we are using our favorite product from Brutus Monroe today. It's definitely very difficult to pick just 1 favorite product!! Here's the list of top favorite products from Brutus Monroe - Embossing powders, inks, card stock, glitter stock - the list is endless. For today, I decided to use the Embossing powder on card stock.

You can never beat the look of gold on black, can you? I heat embossed the string of lights from the String Lights stamp set with Gilded embossing powder on Raven card stock. I colored the image with colored pencils. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Yuletide Greetings stamp set.

Graduation Card

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Craftwell blog today with this elegant Graduation card.

I used gold embossing for the sentiment and golf foiled around the border. I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Majestic Labels Twenty-Five Etched Dies for the label. The graduation cap is a die from Whimsy Stamps. I have added a list of supplies below. I used the Craftwell Cut N Boss for die cutting. I just love how easy it is to die cut with the machine.

Time To Celebrate

Hello everyone! Today's Wednesday and that means we are having a blog hop at Brutus Monroe. This week we are focusing on our embossing powders. Here's what I've created for you today.

Metallic embossing is an easy way to achieve beautiful cards. I love how the metallic embossing looks on dark colored card stocks. So I decided to use on of our background stamps to create this beautiful card. I used the gilded embossing powder on Raven card stock with the Heartlace background stamp. The sentiment is from the Joey's 3rd birthday stamp set. I die cut the sentiment with a fancy label die. I cut the background in to 3 3/4" x 5" and matted it on to a piece of Raven card stock. I adhered it on to a top folding A2 card base. I added the sentiment label with foam squares.
