Merry & Bright Poinsettias

Hello everyone!! This is a quick post to share a recent card that I made.
I've been wanting to try my hand at drawing, especially drawing flowers. Recently, Marcella from Power Poppy announced a contest (that is closing in an hour now!!) where she encourages people to 'Color outside the lines', literally or figuratively! With some encouragement from her, I decided to take the plunge and draw a poinsettia flowers (technically leaves) and color it.

Here's what I made:

I hand drew a rough outline with pencil and colored it with copics and Chameleon marker. So this looks like no-line coloring as well. I remembered to click a pic only after I started to color it.

The sentiment is from Unity Stamps - Our Hearts To Yours stamp set.
Do let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

Thank You Shaker Card

Hello everyone!! I've been MIA for some time now. My daughter poured water on my laptop and I was without a laptop for almost 2 weeks :)

Anyway, I wanted to share my first shaker cards that I made last week.

I used a dark pink handmade paper for the tag. The acetate is from some packaging. The pattern paper behind the shaker element is from my stash. The pink crystal flower is from Dollar Tree the brown crystal flower and beads are also from my stash.

The flowers, leaves and the curly banner are from Winnie & Walter - The Big, the Bold and Extras. I stamped them and embossed them with white embossing powder and colored using watercolors and fuzzy cut them. I used foam tape to layer the flowers. So the arrangement has some dimension. The words 'thank' & 'you' are from Winnie & Walter - The Big, the Bold and You.

Do let me know your thoughts and comments.
