Foxy Birthday

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a woodland themed card which I made for my son’s birthday. 

I used the Hero Arts - Jungle Frame fancy die to die cut the frame. The fox is from Hero Arts - Winter Critters stamp set, which I stamped, colored with copies and fussy cut. The wooden bark is from Honey Bee Stamps - Lovely Layers- Wood Vase die set. I decided not to add a sentiment on the front of the card.

Foxy Birthday

Hello everyone! Today, at Brutus Monroe, we are featuring the 2 x 3 stamps - this includes the Stamp club stamps that you get for $5 a month (including shipping).

I decided to use the stamp club stamp set from the month of February. It's a cute fox. I stamped the fox and colored it with Copics. The I fussy cut it out. I die cut a oval and inked it with Cabbage surface ink. Once it dried, I used the Folkwave stencil to apply some more Cabbage ink. Once it dried, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Big Top stamp set with the Gilded embossing powder. I adhered the fox image on to the oval die cut. I embossed a piece of brown card stock with Petal lace embossing folder. I inked the edges of an A2 card base with Cabbage surface  ink and adhered the embossed panel on to it. I then adhered the oval die cut with foam squares. I added some Nuvo drops for a final finishing touch.

How do you like this card? I think it goes well with the woodland themed birthday. My initial plan was to create a tag or a place card in the woodland theme, but I ended up making a card anyway :)
