Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!! Happy Thanksgiving !! I'm on the Brutus Monroe blog today, with this simple Christmas card:

I took a piece of water color card stock and painted it with Blue Green Aqua Pigment. I love this color!! Once dry, I dry embossed it with Aztec Stars embossing folder. I cut it to 4" x 5 1/2" and adhered it on to a A2 card base. I took a scrap piece of white card stock and stamped the sentiment from the Yuletide Greetings in Oz ink. I adhered the sentiment and few sequins from my stash.

How do you like this card today? Please do let me know in the comments below. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day and enjoy your turkey :)

Hello!

Hello everyone!! Today, for the Brutus Monroe blog hop, we are using the Brutus Monroe dies. Here's my card using the stitched star die set and the 'hello' sentiment die set.

I decided to do a multi-shaker card for today. I used the stitched star die set to make the frames. I die cut the 3 star frames and 2 solid stars from the Rogue card stock. Since these frames are pretty thin, I decided to die cut fun foam sheets instead of using foam tape. So I die cut 2 layers of pink fun foam sheets from Dollar Tree and then glued them together with Brutus Monroe glue. I adhered die cut acetate sheet on this foam frame and then adhered the card stock layer on top. I put some mixed pink sequins (from Dollar Tree) and adhered the shaker frames with acetates on top. Once I had all the 3 shaker elements glued down, I worked on the 2 solid stars. I used the same foam layers for the solid stars too.  Then, I die cut the sentiment "hello" using the Hello Die from the sterling glitter stock. I adhered the sentiment on the parts only where it touches the stars, so that it has a floating look. Doesn't that look cool!

Happy Birthday

Hello everyone!! Today is Wednesday and that means it's time for another blog hop featuring a new stamp set from Brutus Monroe.

I stamped the cake image from the Topsy Cakes stamp set and colored it with alcohol markers and fussy cut them. I die cut a oval shape and adhered the cake image on to it. I stamped the sentiment and cut it in to a thin strip. I cut a piece of grey card stock of size 4" x 5 1/4" and added a ribbon with a bow. I adhered the oval die cut with the cake and the sentiment on to the grey panel and adhered it on to the card base. I then added some Rose bottle cap sequins. Aren't they so pretty with the shine?

I  had made a video showing how I make my bows. I'm linking it here.

Also, please do check out what my team mates have created with the Topsy Cakes, by clicking here.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day!

Hello Sunshine

Hello everyone! It's time for the October challenge at the Unstampabelles. Our theme this month is 'The Sun' and the twist is 'Gold! Gold! Gold!'.

Here's what I made to inspire you!

I used the card cover cut file from Bird's cards to cut out white cardstock. I colored it using DI Scattered straw and Squeezed lemonade. The sentiment 'hello' was cut as text on my cricut and the 'sunshine' is a SVG file from Bird's cards. I added glossy accents to the sentiment to make it glossy. I added a few golden sequins to add some sparkle to this simple card.

The prize this month is a beautiful embossing folder.

Hope you are inspired to give it a try. And please remember not to use ant stamps.

Autumn Blessings

Hello everyone! I'm here to share to another card for Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. This time I decided to make a shaker card with lots of cocoa and pumpkin sequins goodness.

Here's my card:

I used the cut file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon which is a freebie this week, till Thursday. I modified the file to make a shaker window. The I filled the shaker part with orange and brown sequins. I stamped the pumpkin from STAMPlorations Holiday Expressions: Thankful for Autumn set with Distress ink ripe persimmon. The leaf is cut on my cricut with the SVG file from SVG Cutting Files and colored with distress ink wild ripe persimmon.

I embossed the word Fall on a dark brown panel with clear embossing powder. The stamp is from the STAMPlorations Holiday Expressions: Thankful for Autumn set.

The sentiment "Autumn Blessings" is also from the STAMPlorations Holiday Expressions: Thankful for Autumn set.

This card was inspired by the current Muse Challenge, which is a card by Tracey M. McNeely.

Please forgive the quality of the pictures. My camera was acting up and so, I had to use my mobile phone. Also, there's not much sunlight today. I'll try to get better ones tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by. Do let me know your thoughts.
