Pinecone Wreath Ornament

 Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have Christmas card to share with you!

A week or so back, I took out some of my supplies (stamps and dies) that I haven't used at all or haven't used in a long time and put it on my craft table, hoping to get some inspiration to use them. I love this Hero Arts - Pinecone Wreath stamp, but I wasn't really sure how to use it. I had a few die cuts of the outer ornament part of the Hero Arts - Snowflake Ornament die cut lying around on my table. Deeing that, I thought of making an ornament with this wreath stamped in the center. Initially, I wanted to do a no-line coloring with Copics and stamped the image with Fadeout ink. Then I thought it would be better to use the leaves as is without coloring, so I stamped the image again with Memento green ink. Now the pine cones are also green, but I was able to color on top of it with Copics. I used brown shades to colors the pine cones. Then I ink blended the edges with the same green ink. The sentiment is from an Inspired By Stamping - Poinsettia stamp set, which I heat embossed in gold. For the background, I used Altenew - Deck Planks 3D Embossing Folder. I die cut an ivy vine from Spellbinders - Susan's garden die set.

Snowflake Ornament

 Hello everyone! I have finally started working on my Christmas cards! Here's a shaker card with a blue snowflake ornament.

For this card, I used the Hero Arts - Snowflake Ornament. I die cut it in blue card stock. I used shaker mix from Doodle Paper Playground. The sentiment is from Divinity Designs. I stamped the sentiment in blue color to match the ornament.

Red Christmas Ornament

Hello everyone! I'm on the Craftwell blog, with a Christmas card - I know it's August, but I do like to get started on making a few different designs early and then decide on the one which I will be making for my family in India. Since this goes overseas, I like to mail them before Thanksgiving.

I used the Noel Ornament die set from Heartfelt Creations. I love the red and gold combo. I used ivory card base and layered gold and ivory card stock. To ground the ornament I added a holly bough, die cut with Sizzix Mini Holiday Greens die set and added a few red pearls as berries. For the sentiment, I used Divinity Designs Christmas Mini Set.

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Craftwell blog today, with a shimmery Christmas Card.

I embossed a piece of white card stock with a snowflake embossing folder from The Paper Studio. I die cut the Snowflake Ornament die and the bow from Memory Box on Gilded and Scarlet Glitter stock from Brutus Monroe. I cut strips of the glitter stock and adhered it on to the left edge of the card base. I adhered the embossed panel on to the card base and adhered the glitter ornaments on to it. I die cut the sentiment using a die from Your Next Stamp.

Every year, in December I decide that at least the next year, I should start making my Christmas cards early. And that never happens and the cycle continues. Watercolored Christmas Ornaments

Hello everyone! I'm on the Brutus Monroe blog today with this lovely Christmas card!

Have you seen the new Aqua Pigments from Brutus Monroe? The colors are just gorgeous! Though I couldn't use them in today's post, I highly recommend checking them out. I will be using them a lot in the future. For this card, I used the Ornaments stencil to draw the outline of the the 3 ornaments. I then colored them using my watercolors. Then I stamped the sentiment with Gargoyle ink. I adhered this panel on to an A2 card base.

Merry Christmas Ornaments

Hello everyone!! Today on Brutus Monroe, we are embossing like a boss! Yes, we are showcasing our wonderful embossing powders and the embossing powder monthly club! Here's a vintage looking Christmas card!!

I recently made a vintage Christmas card using the same background stamp and I loved it. You can see it here. So I thought of doing something on the similar lines. I took a piece of sidewalk card stock and stamped the Barn Wall background stamp with Sidewalk ink. I heat embossed the sentiment with Coffee Grounds embossing powder, which was the embossing powder of the month in September. On a piece of scrap card stock, I used the Ornaments stencil to emboss the 3 ornaments. I used Mermaid Tail and Sterling embossing powder to create the ornaments. I embossed each ornament 2-4 times to get a perfect shiny look. Then I fussy cut those ornaments and adhered it on to the background. I then used my T ruler to draw the string for the ornaments and adhered a few sequins from my stash.
