Mother's Day Peonies

 Hello everyone!! Welcome back to my blog! Hope you are having a great week so far. I'm here to share a card with watercoloring.

I used the Peony Bouquet stamp set from Altenew and watercolored it with the Chromatek watercolor brush pens. I used the color from the Altenew Inspiration Challenge for this month. Sentiment is from an old Verve stamp set.

Coral Flowers

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Craftwell blog, sharing this Mother's Day card with flowers that I made for my Mom. I got to spend Mother's Day with my Mom after a few years :)

I took an A2 card base and die cut the edge with 2 dies from Spellbinders Scalloped Borders 3 die set. I used the same dies to die cut the edge on a panel of Coral cardstock and adhered it on the inside of the card. I used the Spellbinders Stained Glass die on gold mirror cardstock to cut out the center piece and adhered it on to the card base. Then I die cut some flowers and leaves using the Karen Burniston Flower Pot pop-up dies. I shaped the flowers with the tools and added a half pearl in the center. I arranged the flowers and leaves and adhered them on to the card. I die cut the swirl from the Graceful Corners die set from Amazing Paper Grace & Spellbinders on the same gold card stock, cut a tiny bit on both ends and adhered it below the flowers. For the sentiment panel, I die cut the label die from Inspired by Stamping on white card stock and while the die cut was still in the die, I inked it lightly with Brutus Monroe Stargazer ink. I stamped the sentiment from one of the Verve Stamps stamp set and added it on to the card. Here's a look at the inside of the card:

Floral Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone! I'm on the Craftwell blog today with this lovely vintage style birthday card with flowers and pearls.

I used a lot of dies (kind of new to me ;) ) in this card! Dies I used are from Spellbinders and Inspired By Stamping and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps. It makes me really happy to be back at making flowers. I also used the Hero Arts Glorious Petals stencil for the background. Christmas Blessings Poinsettia

Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a great day! Last year I decided to make Christmas cards to send to my family. Usually, I send store bought cards because I can never decide on a design that I want to make. So I made a few cards in different designs. I was not able to share them in December because many of my relatives in India didn't receive my cards by then and also my laptop was not working!! So I'm here to share one of those Christmas cards.

I used a 5" x 7" card base in ivory color. I used my 1/8" Scor-Tape to make a border around the card base and burnished gold colored Deco foil on it to create this golden border. I stamped the pine leaves from Winnie & Walter - In Bloom: Elsa's Flora stamp set using Hero Arte Forever Green Ink. I used second generation stamping for some color variation. The pine cones, also from the same set, were inked with a brown marker. I stamped the poinsettia on a piece of card stock with Distress Ink Fired Brick and colored it copics for a no-line coloring effect.

Here's a close-up on the bouquet. I stamped the Altenew Snowing stamp with versamark ink and dusted it with Heirloom Gold perfect pearls. I misted it with water to set it. I think this is a good alternative for splatters. I cannot bring myself to splatter paint on a finished project for fear of spoiling it!! For the sentiment, I gold embossed the Verve Christmas Blessings stamp. I used this sentiment for most of my Christmas cards last year. I love how this card has turned out.

Cup of Cheer

Hello everyone!! I'm back to share one more card that I made now.

I used one of the cups from the Verve Stamps - Cup of Kindness Digi set, which is available for free till Dec 25th. The sentiment is also from the same set. I took a printout of the cup, fuzzy cut it and colored it with markers. I cut the sentiment into a rectangle and layered it on red card stock panel. I wrapped red baker's twine around the sentiment panel. I love this sentiment. It's perfect for New Year cards.

I adhered the cup with foam tape. I didn't add any glitter or bling on this one, as I wanted to keep it simple and masculine.

Cup of Kindness

Hello everyone!! After a small break, I made a few cards today. Many of you might know that 2015 Winter/Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is open now. And that today is National Cocoa day! I made a few cards to celebrate that!!

In lieu of this hop, Verve stamps has released a digi set, which is available completely free of cost, till December 25th. You can get it here. Both the cup and the sentiment in my card are from this digi set. I've always tried ti shy away from digi images in the past (though I've used them on rare occasions), now that we've bought a printer at home, I'm trying to make the most out of it. I have a lot of figuring out to do!!

I printed the sentiment and cup on white paper. I fuzzy cut and colored the cup with my marker. I used a single marker to color my cup and had to use 5 - 7 coats to get to this stage. But I'm happy with the result. I used silver glitter gel for the snowflake in the cup. I used the same glitter get to draw a thin strip on the top and bottom end of the sentiment panel.

I used grey card stock for card base. I stamped some snowflakes from Hero Arts Tree-Mendous stamp set with white and grey ink. I hope you can see the tone on tone look of the grey ink.
