Spring Birthday

 Hello everyone!! I'm on the Craftwell blog today, with a Spring birthday card.

I decided to use pastel colors for this Spring card. I've used a bunch of different dies on this one. The flowers were die cut using the Karen Burniston - Pop up Flower Pot die set. I shaped the flowers and added a pearl for the center of the flowers. For the leaves and flourishes, I used the Floral Flourishes die set from Spellbinders. For the sentiment panel, I used the Amazing Paper Grace - Sentimental Christmas die set. The sentiment is from Tubby Craft stamp set. The butterfly is from Crafter's Companion die set. I assembled all the die cuts on an ivory card stock. I think ivory looks better than white for this color scheme.

Orchid Wishes

Hello everyone!! Welcome back to my blog. Today, I'm sharing a card that I made just because :)

I stamped the orchids from the Inspired By Stamping - Australian Nature I stamp set with grey ink for no-line coloring and colored them with Copics. The sentiment stamp is from Tubby Crafts.

Farewell And Thanks!

Hello everyone!! Today I'm on the Tubby Craft blog, with my last post as DT for Tubby Craft. So here's a Thank you card to you!!

For my first card, I used the Bright Day stamp set. I stamped the carnation flowers with grey ink and colored them with Copics. Then I die cut it with a circle die. I stamped the sentiment with black ink on the circle panel. I took a piece of purple card stock of size 4" x 5 1/4", adhered a polka dot purple ribbon around it and adhered it on to the card base. I adhered the image panel with foam tape. I then made a bow out of the same ribbon and adhered it next to the circle panel.

For the second card, I used the Rose Bouquet stamp set and colored it with Copics. I die cut it with an oval. I stamped the sentiment "Just a note" from the Buttercup stamp set. I took a piece of orange card stock of size 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered it on to the card base. I adhered the oval panel on to it with foam tape.

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Tubby Craft blog today, with 2 Christmas cards, perfect for those last minute ones!!

Card 1:

I started by heat embossing the tiny icons in the Christmas Wishes stamp set with Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder on red card stock. I heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of red card stock and fussy cut it. I took a scrap piece of card stock and heat embossed the edges with the same embossing powder.  I matted the sentiment panel with this panel. I used my red wink of stella to add some glitter on to the background icons. Then I added the sentiment panel with foam tape.

Isn't it elegant and pretty? What do you think?

Card 2:

This is kind of another version of the first card. I stamped the icons on a kraft card stock with Imperial Red, Lawn Fawn Green and Emerald Green. Then I used gold wink of stella to add some glitter. I stamped the sentiment with Imperial red on kraft card stock, fussy cut it and matted it with red card stock brushed with Imperial red to match the color. I used another piece of red card stock to matte the background and added the sentiment panel on to it with glue. Then I punched out a few pine branches and added it with red rhinestones.

Birthday Celebration!!

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Tubby Craft blog today with 2 birthday cards. As you might already know, this is Tubby Craft’s birthday month and We are celebrating it in a special way!! Here are my cards for today:

Card 1:

For the first card, I decided to used the Magnolia stamps from the Wishes with Magnolia stamp set and water colored it’s Tubby Craft inks. I used the Light Pink ink for stamping. For coloring, I used Light Pink, Hot Pink, Lemon Yellow, Mustard Yellow, Olive Green and Chocolate Brown. Then I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Brown ink. 

Card 2:

For the second card, I decided to do a shaker. I started by inking a piece of white card stock with Aqua Blue and Turquoise Blue over Brutus Monroe Triangles Stencil. I stamped the '8' image and the sentiment on a piece of card stock with Lead Grey ink and cut it into an oval. I adhered the oval panel on to the inked panel. I added thin strip of foam tape all around the edge and added sequins for the shaker. Then I adhered glitter tulle covering the sequins. I then cut out a frame with teal card stock and added it to finish the shaker.

Fall Leaves

Hello everyone!! I'm on the Tubby Craft blog today with 2 Fall themed cards, using one of the most forgotten stamp in every floral stamp set. Almost all floral stamp sets come with a few leaf stamps, which we don't use as often as we like! Here are 2 cards using only leaves.

Card 1:

For the first card, I decided to go with some gold embossing! I inked the background with Mustard Yellow, Tangy Orange, Imperial Red and Raspberry inks. Then I stamped the leaves repeatedly with Brutus Monroe Embossing ink and heat embossed them with the Gilded embossing powder. Isn't that gorgeous!! Than I stamped the sentiment, also from the same stamp set, and heat embossed it with the Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder.

I really love that background. All these colors blended so well!

Card 2:

For the second card, I used the same leaves and almost the same colors, but in a different way! I used my stamping tool for this one. I placed my A2 card base on the tool and placed the leaf where I wanted. I then lightly inked the leaf stamp (not covering it fully) with Tangy Orange and stamped it. Then I inked the stamp with Mustard yellow and stamped again. This gives a beautiful two colored image. I repeated the same procedure with different colors - Raspberry, Imperial Red, Tangy Orange, Mustard Yellow and Olive green. The I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate brown.

Fireworks!

Hello everyone! I'm on the Tubby Craft blog today, with 2 cards using fireworks! When Shruti sent me the pic of the stamp set, the first thought that came to my mind was New Year!! In India, the Church that we go to has a special firework show for New Year, after the watch night service! It has become a part of our New Year tradition and I miss it so much now! So here are 2 New Year cards that I made with the fireworks stamps.

Card 1:

This is my favorite of the 2! I started by inking an A2 card base with Saphire blue, Chinese blue and Jet Black. It created a beautiful night sky. Then I heat embossed the sentiment and the firework images using Brutus Monroe embossing ink, Gilded Embossing powder and Sterling Embossing powder. As you might have already guessed, I didn't wait for the background to dry!! I was too impatient to try the design I had on mind! So I had the embossing powder in places where I didn't want it. But it kind of gave the fireworks a golden halo. So I decided to leave it like that. Here's another pic of the card.

Card 2:

For the second card, I decided to go with colorful fireworks.

I stamped the fireworks image in Lawn Green, Emerald Green, Lemon Yellow and Imperial Red and the sentiment in Raspberry pink. I had a few boo boos here too!! I didn't clean the ink properly on the stamp before switching the color, which lead to a red-green firework, which kind of seemed cool ;) So I left it as it is. Here's another look at the card:

Fall Color Themed Cards

Hello everyone! I'm on the Tubby Craft blog today, with 2 very different cards using the same stamp set and the same color scheme.

Card 1:

For this card, I decided to do a background with the Floral Elements stamp set. I used Tangy Orange, Mustard Yellow, Olive Green and Chocolate Brown inks to stamp the various images on the background. I cut the panel to 4" x 5 1/4" and matted it with a dark brown card stock. I then adhered it on to an A2 card base. For the sentiment, I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Fancy Sentiments stamp set with the Chocolate Brown ink and added it with foam tape.

This stamp set is pretty cool for making quick backgrounds!!

Card 2:

For the second card, i decided to go clean and simple! I used a oval die to trace a very light outline and the stamped the flowers and leaves with the same ink colors (Tangy Orange, Mustard Yellow, Olive Green and Chocolate Brown). Then, with a brown marker, I traced the remaining part of the oval. Then I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Brown.

This is a one layer CAS card! How cool is that!
